Most surgeons build careers around mastering existing methods. Dr. Andrew Jacono built his by rethinking them. The technique’s reputation spread quickly. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs credited Dr. Andrew Jacono with his facelift in 2021, citing the natural results. Dr. Paul Nassif, a plastic surgeon himself, chose Jacono for his own deep-plane procedure the kind of professional endorsement that carries more weight than almost any public recognition.

Training and Credentials Behind the Work

Dr. Andrew Jacono’s path to developing this technique required years of preparation. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1996, then completed a residency in Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, serving as administrative chief resident. A fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery followed, accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He has since published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles in journals including the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, and has presented at more than 100 international conferences. His 2021 textbook on extended deep-plane facelifting added to that academic record.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Andrew Jacono holds faculty positions at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and North Shore University Hospital, training future surgeons while continuing to practice.
